Peggy is an award winning Actress, Director and Choreographer. Shortly after moving to New York from Belleville, IL in the Midwest, she
was discovered by the legendary showman George Abbott. He plucked her from the ensemble to star on Broadway in the revival of the only play he ever wrote without a collaborator, Broadway, which he also
directed as part of his Centennial Celebration! Other Broadway shows followed, including the Tony award winners Me And My Girl, directed by Mike Ockrent, Showboat, directed by Hal Prince and Choreographed by Susan Stroman, Smokey
Joe's Café, directed by Jerry Zaks, and Urinetown directed by John Rando. Peggy recently was the dance captain of the first National tour of Little Women, the Broadway Musical,and left the National
Tour of Sweet Charity, starring Molly Ringwald, to helm the Temple Theatre. Peggy has also appeared Off-Broadway, on London's West End, and toured the United States and Canada, South America and the Far East.
She portrayed Velma in Chicago in Macao, China. The first "book musical" ever produced in the region. Off-Broadway credits include: Johnny Guitar, nominated for the Lucille Lortel, Obie, Drama Desk
& Drama League awards for best musical, No, No Nanette, The Gay Divorce, and The Space. A sampling of other Regional credits: Chicago, Sweet Charity, Damn Yankees, A Chorus Line, Quilters,

Fella, Bye, Bye Birdie and numerous others. She can be heard on numerous recordings including Hoagyland, the music of the great Hoagy Carmichael. She has sung at such prestigious venues as: The Rainbow
Room, The Russian Tea Room, Tavern On The Green, Danny's Skylight Room and The Hudson River Club to name a few. Peggy also performs her own act, a tribute to the songs of Betty Hutton, entitled A Square In The
Social Circle, which earns rave reviews in NYC and across the country. Peggy is the recipient of numerous acting and directing/choreographing awards, most recently, the 2006 Portland, OR Drammy award for best
actress in a musical. Peggy's Directing/Choreographic work has been seen from coast to coast in the United States, as far north as Canada and as far east as Singapore. Peggy is delighted to be living in Sanford and
excited about continuing and expanding the integrity and creativity of the Temple Theatre.
