The Temple Summer Theatre Conservatory is just around the corner. As always, the camp will offer a variety of workshop style classes in acting, auditioning, voice, movement, technical theatre and more. All classes are led by Temple staff and special guest instructors, who are all professionals in their field. The classes promote team work, discipline, self-confidence and learning to “walk in someone else’s shoes”. Students will utilize their new skills as they mount a production of Willy Wonka Jr.
Due to demand, we will be offering 2 conservatories this year in order to accommodate as many young people as possible.
Conservatory Schedule
Conservatory 1 Mon. - Fri. June 23rd-July 13th 12:30-5:30pm *Camp will not meet on Friday July 4th in honor of Independence Day. Since the 4th falls the week before the performance, it may be necessary to make up time by having an additional evening rehearsal the week of July 7th. Performance Schedule July 11 @ 7pm July 12th @ 2pm and 7pm July 13 @ 2pm
Conservatory 2 Mon. - Fri. July 21- August 10 12:30-5:30pm Performance Schedule August 8th @ 7pm August 9th @ 2pm and 7pm August 10th @ 2pm
Registration will begin on Wednesday, April 9th at 10 am in the Temple Theatre Lobby
Enrollment Fee: $250 or just $3.50/hr.!
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND EVERY SESSION AND PERFORMANCE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. A limited number of need-based scholarship will be offered based on sponsorships and donations. If you would like to donated to our scholarship fund, please download the form below and mail it to the theatre. All donation will go to provide scholarships. An application can be picked up at the theatre’s main office.
Enrollment will be limited to 38 students per conservatory who will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Phone calls and mail in forms will be accepted AFTER those that are present on the 9th. Last year’s conservatory reached capacity in 30 minutes so everyone is strongly encouraged to sign up on the 9th.
